MedLook On-Line, 4.0, etc. status

The MedLook On-Line evaluation is over.  It seems to have gone very well.  I was really pleased with how MedLook worked in this environment and think it will offer customers a real advantage.  It’s priced VERY competitively and offers 24×7 anywhere access.  At the moment November 16 is the “going live” date so until then please be patient.  Please submit your orders and payments prior to November 16th so we can have your accounts ready for you immediately.

The MedLook 835 Auto Posting feature seems to be working very well.  If you haven’t purchased it yet you should give it some consideration.  I cannot think of any other feature that will benefit you more than this one. Using this tool the bulk of your insurance payments are handled for you in just a few minutes.  It’s only $300 and will pay for itself for almost any user in just the first month.

MedLook 4 continues to grow with more and more functionality and is therefore delayed just a bit more. I’m beginning to lose track of all the things we have added and changed.  No need to fear though, if you are using MedLook today you will have no problem transitioning to MedLook 4 - it just has a lot of new stuff (but concealed as nicely as possible if appropriate).

The addition of the 837p (that’s the “new” electronic claims file to replace the Print Image for professional/1500 claims) is well under way and we should have a working version ready very soon.  Our intention is to have this complete for professional, institutional and dental claims although our initial release will probably have only the professional claims.

If you are searching for a new way to submit claims, or a new clearinghouse, etc., please contact us as we have some new possibilities in the works.  It will also be part of MedLook 4.0.

Thursday, November 5, 2009 through Friday, November 13, 2009 I will be traveling as my eldest daughter transitions into her new job at Middlesex hospital in Middletown, CT.  She has just started working there as the HIM Medical Records Supervisor (I think I have that right).  We’re very proud of her.  Ohhhh, she’s in for a shock this first winter.  CT winters are nothing like an AL winter I’m sure. Anyhow, as we travel we should be able to handle phone calls and emails when not on the road.  Basically business as usual but with a possible delay while traveling.

I hope this entry finds you healthy, happy, and looking forward to the coming holiday season.
