MedLook Tip Of The Week for 05/31/2004Customizing Patient Summary To Include Patient Copay Return to ArchiveThe patient account summary can be completely customized to each clients preferences. In this article we're going to add the patient's copay to the left of the patient note. To do this, pick a patient and display the account summary. Press Ctrl+F5. The default Rich Text File (rtf) editor will startup with the PatientSummary.rtf file. Immediately to the left of the line containing Note: [Note], key in Copay: [Ins1Copay] Be sure to leave the "Note: [Note]" text on the line. So now you have: Copay: [Ins1Copay] Note: [Note] Bold, italicize, change the color, etc. as you wish. If you want the patient's information to have a different font then everything between, and including, the []'s must be set to the same style/font. Save the file and exit. On the patient summary simply select Refresh (Ctrl+R) and you should see the patient's copay. You can add much more than just this. See the "templates" in the help file and in the manual refer to the appendix section entitled Custom Dictionary. If you have any questions about installing or operating MedLook please contact us. |
